N Scale Train Set

Justin and I now have our first N Scale Train Set and J couldn't be more excited. When Justin first set out to curb his newest hobby: trains, he thought he wanted to create an outdoor train system consisting of G Scale engines, etc. It turns out G Scale trains are very expensive and permanent for the most part. He decided that he wanted to create something a little more flexible and movable, thus came our first N Scale train set. Justin set it up the other night and him and Sophie had a blast!

Two of his favorites side by side: MASH and Trains

Sophie loves watching them and she has been very gentle with her paws so far (hehe)!
Here it comes from around the corner...

Below is one of Justin's favorite cars in the spotlight...enlarge to see better.

The trains are very fun and our next purchase will be more track...aka...more fun!

Murray's Birthday Part Two: From The Camera of Allison and Olivia

I let Allison use the camera for a few minutes and she got very excited about that! Below are the pictures she took. Isn't she just too cute?
Here is one of our photographers...I think her pictures are so cute!

This one was taken by Olivia! She loves her family.

Murray's Birthday Part One

Murph celebrated another fun birthday with family and friends! He loves the singing part of the evening (especially our Kings and Queens song) and I think that is so neat. Most people try and hide and turn bright red, but Murph just enjoys the moment.

Here is Dan and Murph (both huge UCLA fans) enjoying one of Murray's gifts (framed pictures from Jilli and Eric).
Well, as the night went on more and more fun was had! Just before we left Justin wanted to get a picture of him and Murph. I turned around to take the picture and this is what they looked like! Silly boys.
And then...they opened one of Murray's birthday cards from Sharon and began dancing to the music. The card was huge!

My Mom, Just and I spent the day cooking and organizing (which was actually very fun). We got in some good old-fashioned bonding time.
Te Grande family came which was great because it has been a long time since we have spent an evening with them. Olivia is getting so old and was a big help during the clean-up process.
My Mom made not one...

not two...

but three desserts for Murray. She made his all time favorite: Carrot Cake, his favortie flavor of the moment, Lemon Cheese Cake with homemade lemon curd, and her famous Chocolate Yogurt Cheese Cake!

Easter 2008

Easter Sunday was a great day! Justin, my parents, and I went to our church,Hope Chapel, in the morning and then we headed down to my Grandma's house. We had way too much fun hunting for eggs and eating all kinds of great food!

Here my parents are having a great time laughing at where Justin's egg is hidden (needless to say, Justin and my Mom had a great time hiding each other's eggs).

The Otto's brought over Dance Revolution (I think that is the name) and the kids (you'll notice Justin is one with the kids) had a fun time dancing the afternoon away.

Of course my mom loved it as well...any chance to get those feet groovin' and she's in!

Auntie helping the girls find their eggs

These are what the homemade eggs looked like from Auntie Chris-they made a great snack the next day!

So cute!

Once again, how cute are they?!!!

My Mom and Justin were in charge of hiding the eggs!

Ah, an afternoon Siesta!! This picture cracks me up!
Helping out in the kitchen

The boys have so much fun together!
On Saturday night we went to Eric's Aunt's House (Jilli's boyfriend and Dad to sweet Dylan) for an Easter dinner. My parents, Justin, and I got to meet a lot of Eric's family and spend some time with Jilli, Eric, and Dylan. It was so kind of them to have us over and we loved getting to know Eric's family! I do not have any pictures as I did not want to intimidate them or seem overbearing, but the memory will last forever.

Justin's First Trip

Justin has finished training and had his first trip this last weekend! Palm Springs anyone??

The room was very modern, but packed with only the best amenities. He said the shower was amazing, with water coming from all angles and four heads coming out of the ceiling. If you enlarge the picture you will see that those are apples above the head board, little strange eh?

View from the room!
When Justin returned home he said that we need to go back there for our own little getaway. I have never been to Palm Springs, but would love to experience it.
Up next...Aspen...it's a rough job...but really, amongst all the fun of his trips he works really hard and loves the flying!
