We were desperately trying to get him to eat his cake...

Noah's 1 year well check at Kaiser. He was a champ and has a clean bill of health :) Same as usual, he's super low in the %, but he's growing at a steady pace...all 21 lbs of him!

Yes, I did this to him!! I want to start getting him used to wearing a hat so he will be good to go by summer. Some days are better than others ;) This hat looked cute in the store, but on him...I'm not so sure-sorry buddy!

Presents

Don't be fooled by this picture.

He looks as if he's all into the present opening experience, yeah, NOT! My sweet little man is not so much the type to sit still and open presents, not even with crinkly tissue and curled ribbon. I knew this is what present opening would be like, so it wasn't a big shock when the time came, but I still gave it my best effort to have him helping or at least nearby. See...look at my face. I'm trying to be really excited in hopes that it will make him want to stay with me-Haha!

We are so thankful to all our friends and family for making his birthday a fun and meaningful day! Whether you were there with us or thinking of us from afar, we love you and thank you for your love and support this first year! A big thank you to Nonni and Grandpa for having the party at their house. Another big thank you to Auntie Jaime for taking most of these pictures! He's 1 folks, watch out! Ha!

No really people, no matter how many times you try, I'm still NOT going to want the cake.

And that's how cake went on Noah's first birthday! He loved the singing, loved the candle so much that in the moment I wasn't looking he went for it, everyone gasped/screamed, and the pictures tell the rest of the story. Bad Mom, I know...he didn't get hurt though. Promise. Noah is such a fruit and vegetable man it kills me (actually it makes me happy, it's just so foreign to me :)

Noah was loved, loved, loved on his birthday. I tried to take a variety of pictures, but I definitely did not get every guest, plus I don't have pictures that others took yet, but nonetheless, here are some fun shots of Noah on his birthday.

Rewind to January...

Cambrie had this adorable ABC Book at her 1st Birthday party and I fell in love with it...I think it's the teacher in me :) Melissa was A okay (get it...A...teacher) with us having the same one at Noah's party. It will make a fan-tabulous first ABC book! Excuse the corny joke; it's late and I'm tired.

The BIG cake-so pretty!!! Yes, I said pretty...Noah can have a pretty cake right?

I didn't take a lot of detail shots. I always love them, but I'm just not great at them and I was a little busy ;) And by busy I mean shipping my sweet boy off to play with his cousins while I chatted with all the guests. You see...if I'm in the same room as Noah I'm ALL he wants, but once I leave he is happy to be with others...so...I left! He had a blast playing with others and I got to mingle. Happiness all around!
