DuVernay Wedding in MN
Late in August (I know, I know...it's the end of September now) we went to Minnesota for a friends wedding. We had such a great time catching up with friends from college and playing games that we all enjoyed together back at UND. Devin and Jason were married in Duluth, MN on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Duluth is on Lake Superior and is a very pretty area in the state of MN. Justin and I had a blast dancing, hanging out with friends, and being silly with our college friends. When Justin gets together with his friends they all have such a good time and make each other laugh until they cry-I love it!
Jason and Devin, we are so happy for you and wish you all the best on your adventures in St. Thomas. Your wedding was beautiful!
Below are pictures of the rehearsal at the church.
See...Justin is laughing so hard he is crying. The guy behind him had something to do with it!!!

Camping at Lake Sonoma
Over Labor Day Weekend we went camping at Lake Sonoma...an old favorite past time. All through High School we spent time on Murray's boat, and now, ten years later (YIKES) we are able to camp with my Uncle Steve and is boat. Thanks Uncle! We had a blast relaxing in the sun, swimming in the lake, telling stories and singing songs around the campfire, making smores...the list could go on. I love camping, and I also love the feeling of coming home to a nice bed and warm shower!

Our Garden
Justin and I are not only in the blueberry business, but now we are officially in the gardening business. While Justin's parents were here earlier this month J and his Dad built our 12x12 raised bed. Justin and I really wanted to get into gardening (and I must admit, him a little more so than me), especially because our backyard has great space for it. Below you will see some before pictures and pictures taken yesterday evening. They are out of order (oops..)..I'll use the excuse that it's a Saturday and I don't want to think very hard...:)

All Ready To Go!
Well, I have finished the second day of 1st grade and my new class. These last few days have been jam packed and full of fun! The children love being able to go down to the "big" playground for 2 recess times (in K there was really just one recess). They all looks so cute in their desks, which I might add, they are keeping very clean :)
I could go on and on about the awesome class I have, so let's just dive right into the pictures I took just before they began arriving on Monday.

1st Grade Preparation
I have been a busy bee getting my classroom ready for those adorable 1st grade children-and when I say "I"...it's really my husband, Mom, colleagues, and I! Putting a classroom together is SO much easier with multiple people-THANK YOU! Last year I taught Kindergarten and this year I get to stay in my same room, but am transforming it into 1st grade. Below are a few pictures of the room when it barely looked like a classroom (the wall art was in progress...) I am so excited for 1st grade and the team of teachers I am working with.

On Friday night Justin and I, along with our parents, went to a baseball game at ATT Park. I just love that feeling of walking into the ballpark, hearing that cracking sound at the bat, and the smell of the oh so delicious Gilroy Garlic Fries. We enjoyed each other's company and the great weather as we watched the Giants slowly and painfully lose to the Reds :(
We enjoyed an early dinner at Momo's before entering the ballpark just after the gates opened in an effort to get Jon Miller bobble heads (you can imagine Murph's excitement :) The previous manager of the Giants, Dusty Baker was in town for the game as he is the current manager for the Reds-it was fun seeing him (with binoculars of course). The six of us had a fan-tabulous time and we want to thank our parents for making it possible!
