Happy Easter

Noah had his first Easter, and although he is only 2.5 weeks old he had lots of fun pictures taken and even had Easter eggs waiting for him! On Sunday we had a quiet Easter with my parents, Noah and I, and my Auntie Chris. Unfortunately Daddy had to work :( It was a very relaxing day and my mom and I had fun taking pictures of Noah in a chick Easter basket. It was all her idea and a super cute one at that! I know it will only be for so long that we can put him in these silly poses and take pictures so I am all up for packing it in while we can. Even though it was a quiet Easter my mom made it very special. She dyed eggs for us all and gave us very sweet and sentimental Easter presents. I now have some beautiful framed pictures of Noah, myself, and our family!

Today, Monday, we had a second Easter and were able to celebrate with the Oto's. We enjoyed a fabulous brunch together followed by some fun picture taking and relaxing. The girls were so excited to hold Noah and he loved meeting his cousins (2nd cousins officially). They were so sweet...they brought an Easter Bunny suit with them and surprised us with it so Noah could take a picture with the Easter bunny on his first Easter. Lily was the Easter bunny!

We had a fun-filled two days and below are the pictures to prove it!

Does it get any more cozy than this???

And here we are...in our posed Easter picture. I think I have one billion of them on my camera...hahaa...this is one of the best! He was a great sport. Thanks again Nonni for the fun idea! Happy Easter everyone.

Noah is 2 weeks old!

Our sweet son is 2 weeks old today. Here are a few pictures taken today. I am off to take a nap so there won't be many words, just pictures to enjoy. Have a great end to your week!

Daddy gives a great massage!

Noah and I just hanging out and cuddling after a feeding. I just love how cuddly he is!

Oh the life...here he is in his new Woombie enjoying the swing. The swing can be very handy, but don't you dare stop it from swinging unless you would like him to wake up :)

Until next time...

A few fun adventures...

In the last three days Noah has had a few fun adventures!

My Auntie Chris came to visit and loved holding, feeding, and loving on her great nephew. She made us a fabulous dinner and helped out as we went through our day. Look at this adorable picture below where I captured a smile on Noah's face as he slept on Auntie Chris.

Noah's next adventure was our first outing together. On Monday Justin went back to work for a short day trip. Noah and I went up to my parents house and spent most of the day up in Healdsburg. He was introduced to Bella and loved his first stroller walk with Grandma. One of my mom's old employees, Andrea, just had a baby boy (born April 9th) and she came over to visit as well. Her little boy Waylon is so adorable and looks a lot like her. Want to know the best part of our day though...when my mom offered to come down and spend the night and take Noah with her into the guest room. Justin and I got a full nights rest. Wow, was that much needed! My mom could just tell that it was getting to me...you know...that little thing called NO sleep with a newborn at home :)
Here Noah is below with Grandma after eating some yummy lunch :)

Today Noah, Mommy, and Daddy went to Target and he did a great job! He slept the whole time and allowed us to peruse target and get many much needed items. Here he is hanging out back at home after his adventure.

I just love my sweet little guy! The last three days have been filled with fun adventure in the little world of Noah! Stay tuned for more...

Welcome Noah Part 3

I am 9 and 10 days old in these photos! I am growing and changing so much already. I still have a very calm personality, which Mommy and Daddy are blessed with :) I have had a few adventures so far...mainly walks. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and I went on a walk to our local nursery, Prickets. Daddy could not resist getting a few plants. He bought MORE jalapenos and two pumpkins, oh, and don't forget the praying mantis nests that we now have ready to hatch just hanging out in the garage. They are really good at keeping away garden pests. Well, I am off to eat, sleep or "talk" with my family. Enjoy some pictures of me!

I am ready for Prickets!

Grandma and I are having so much fun talking together.

I am really enjoying my bath time!

When I was sleeping with Daddy on the couch Mommy caught a picture of me smiling in my sleep. Precious right?

Passed out together. I just love my two boys!
Adios for now!

Welcome Noah Part 2

As we continue to adjust to life with a newborn we are constantly reminded of how blessed we are to have our healthy son home with us. Although it has not been easy, we fall in love with him more each day and love all the special memories we are making. Last night my mom spent her last night with us and gave us a HUGE treat! She took Noah with her in the guest room and gave Justin and I a full nights sleep-amazing. And...because she is so good at being a Grandma I didn't even hear a peep from him as the night went on. Justin and I are so thankful and will forever appreciate all that she did for Noah and us in his first week or so of life. She was a mom, and most importantly a huge support, a Grandma, a chef, an errand runner, a diaper changing wizard, a swaddle Queen...and the list goes on. She was a huge answered prayer for me in those first days when things were difficult. Alrighty...enjoy some pictures of our sweet little Noah as he gets cozy in his home here in Rincon Valley.

Here I am in my Moses Basket. Thanks Auntie Melissa! He sleeps very well in it at night and during the day. It is so easy to bring from place to place.

His cord fell off so he was able to have his first bath submerged in water....and the verdict is...he liked it!

Such a handsome little fella!

Alright folks, don't be surprised if in the next post I am speaking for little Noah. For some reason as I write this blog post I find myself beginning to write from his perspective, so I think in the next blog post I will do just that! Thanks for staying tuned!

Welcome Noah

On April 6th at 12:04 a.m. we welcomed Noah Richard Langlois to the world! He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz and was 20 inches long. For some of you April 6th is a very special day and now it is double special, why you ask? My loving Grandma Emma who I miss very much had a birthday of April 6th. She passed away a few years ago and is missed dearly by the lives she touched. Noah held out for her birthday just in time-thanks buddy for making it so special for us all!

Okay...our son...
He is so sweet and so stinkin' adorable-I know, I know, I am very bias :) I do apologize for the late post, but man oh man has this sweet, calm son of ours given me a run for my money when it comes to breastfeeding. I won't go into too many details here on the blog, but it has been a real struggle and has made for a hard first week at home. My fabulous mother has been staying with us to help with breastfeeding as well as all kinds of other things here around the house. Breastfeeding has been such a struggle that Justin and my mom have doing everything they can to keep my spirits up.

Anyways...let's move on to how awesome the hospital experience was! Truly! It was really neat being at Kaiser as an adult being taken care of and visited by all of the friends of my mom that she used to nurse with. I remember going there after school, hanging out, and eating graham crackers and jello! Knowing people on the inside (through my mom of course :) is always helpful. In this case it made for a truly memorable experience in which I felt very comfortable and I knew our son was being taken care of with love. I have some big thank you's owed to many nurses :) Did I mention the midwife who delivered Noah? Oh my goodness was she the best! She was so calm, so encouraging, and truly worked her magic as our little guy struggled with his heart rate. Justin and my mom were great coaches as I had contractions and labored. They even convinced me to go for a walk and that really sped up the process (I think). They were so strong and so attentive. I love you both and could not have done it without you :)

I went into the hospital at 2:00 p.m. on April 5th and delivered Noah at 12:04 a.m. the next morning. My water broke around 4:00 a.m. and contractions began at about 5:30 a.m. I will save the rest of the gruesome details for a one-on-one conversation ;)

Well, more can come later, let's get to some pictures. Bottom line...Noah is doing great, gaining weight (with major breastfeeding efforts) and charming us all!

Thank you Mrs. Ives. Who else could make such a beautiful sign out of paper and paint :) It was such a fun surprise to walk into our house and find this HUGE poster above our t.v. Love it!

Birth Day Photo

Hanging with Daddy in the hospital. I of course was in the oh so comfortable hospital bed...actually it wasn't that bad. And the room...HUGE! Once again, we were oh so fortunate to know people on the inside.

I know right...lookin' snazzy!

Noah's first picture with Grandma and Grandpa. He loves them so much already :)

"Really Mom...I didn't just escape from prison." Okay so the outfit he went home in looked way cuter "on the rack" than on him. The hat was huge and there were too many stripes, but what'aya going to do eh... He was still very excited to come home and see all of his other adorable clothes.

I am super tired and need to head off to bed, but enjoy the upcoming posts and I look forward to being more in touch on the blog as I navigate motherhood! Thanks as always for checking back and continuing this journey with us!

Babies hatching, but not our sweet little one!

Well, since I can't yet share photos of our little one, I thought I would share photos of little doves that just hatched outside Noah's window (we think it is a dove). Sorry for the poor photo quality. I either took them from inside the house looking out the window, or directly into the sun (these were my only options). I didn't take many because I don't want to upset the mama dove. As far as I can see there are two babies in that small nest with her and they are pretty big for babies. It has been fun to watch the dove over the past few weeks as she has laid on her eggs and now as she takes care of her little ones :) I am almost positive she they are morning doves.

I am currently 3 days past my due date...my revised due date that is...
I was originally given the due date of April 4th, and somewhere around 20 weeks it was changed to March 31st. Justin and I are being patient and just waiting for our little one to bless us with his presence :) I am not that uncomfortable and the weather has been great so there's really not much to complain about. I almost wish I was more uncomfortable and then maybe we would have some progress!! I have been doing lots of walking, squatting, and lunging, so let's hope for a natural start to Noah's birth vs. an induction. Whatever happens though, we look forward to a safe and healthy arrival of our little one soon...like really soon! :) :)
