Crib Transition Update

Noah has had three nights in his own crib and he is doing well. I can't complain too much. Before the crib, and currently, he gives us a 5-7 hour stretch followed by a couple more hours. We have only hit 7 hours twice and before the crib transition he was giving us many 6 hour stretches. Since being in the crib he has been a solid 5. I truly have nothing to complain about in that department because many newborns at his age don't go quite that long, however, I would love another 6/7 hour stretch :) We have a video monitor so it makes worrying about him alone in his room much easier.

My next goal...
LONGER NAPS!!!

Our sweet little Noah likes to be part of the action. He doesn't sleep longer than 45 minutes during the day. Sometimes it is only 30 minutes at a time. In fact, right now I am working on keeping him asleep longer. He woke up at 45 minutes. I went in and it took about 10 minutes of patting his bottom before he drifted back off. He was awake a few minutes later... This happened a few too many :( times. He has been sleeping now for about 20-30 more minutes after the last bottom-patting attempt. I call that PROGRESS!! I must admit, it is very exhausting and doesn't allow me to get much done. I know he would feel so much better if he was able to get a nice long nap :)

Despite his short naps he is a happy fellow during this awake times. He loves watching Justin work in the garage. He enjoys laying on his activity mat and looking at himself in his new mirror. It is so cute! One of my favorite times of day is first thing in the morning once he is up for good. We bring him into bed and he smiles like crazy, talks to us, and just looks from side to side as we lay next to him....so sweet! I know this won't last forever so I am soaking it up now :)

Alright, we would love prayers and positive thoughts on the daytime sleep! I know it could just be a phase, although, I also know that it could just be part of who he is...that would be a bummer. Once again, nighttime is going well so I really have no room to complain! Keep up those great nights little man-thanks!

On a personal note...
I got a bike. I love it! Can you guess who is even more excited that me-yup, Justin! He is thrilled beyond words that we can go on family bike rides with Noah in the Burley bike trailer. J is waiting patiently for me to give him the go-ahead. We bought the infant insert and it does seem very safe, but I need to wait a little longer to feel comfortable.
