Baby Dylan

Jilli and Eric became parents last Thursday to a big and beautiful baby boy. He arrived weighing 9 lbs. 15 oz. He is so cute! It was really neat to see a baby 20-30 minutes old...he was blinking a lot and looking around very wide-eyed. I do not have many pictures yet, but below are a few pictures of him at home with his loving Mom and Dad.

Congratulations to you both! We are so happy for you!

Good Times At The Crab Feed

Lisa and Scott took us to a crab feed at the Olympic Club in San Francisco this weekend and we had a blast with their family and friends! Beware...we sported crab vests for the event, and of course, we were one of the first tables to put them on! But seriously, Justin did not spill at all and I feel I should get him a bib for dinners at home....hehe!!!

The crab was so good and fun to take apart. I love eating with my hands when I get the chance! We also enjoyed good wine, yummy ravioli's, caesar salad, and the best of all...wonderful company.

Thanks so much you two for a fun evening! It made us realize how much we miss seeing you on a regular basis. We definitely have to take the time now that Justin and I are back to hang out more often.

An Evening of Love

Justin and I decided that we would take turns each year to plan Valentine's Day. In switching off we both get to be spoiled a bit, but we also get to plan something special for the other (this is just as equally enjoyable as receiving a surprise). Justin, being the wonderful husband that he is, took on year numer 1 and planned a romantic, thoughtful, and relaxing evening. He arranged quite the scavenger hunt with darling clues that took a lot of thought. There were a total of 11 clues that he hid with darling poems on each! With each clue came delicious chocolates and in some cases, other fun surprises. He made a wonderful dinner after my hunt for clues and we enjoyed the evening in the comfort of our own home!

When I walked in the door this is how I found the first clue!
One of the clues was amongst my shoes with a funny poem about how I buy
lots of shoes and he will never know why!

The cards we gave to each other were fun! I received a "To My Wife" card which was super fun as we are newly married and things such as this are still a thrill! I found a singing MASH V-Day card for him that he loved. If you know Justin, you know he adores MASH and owns all 11 DVD sets.

Here are the words from one of the clues I found:

Very Good, for your first srtong start,

Maybe that's why you stole Justin's heart!

To find the next clue go somewere very hot,

maybe Hawaii,

but most likely not!

(Isn't he just too cute for words!)

(This was clue number two)

I love you sweetie, and thanks for all the thought you put into our first Valentine's Day as a married couple!

Petaluma Adobe

Justin and I went to the Petaluma Adobe to enjoy some of the beautiful weather we have been having here lately! Here is a little history of the Adobe straight from their website: http://www.parks.sonoma.net/adobe.html
Petaluma Adobe, preserved in Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park in Sonoma County, is one of the oldest preserved buildings in Northern California which was by all accounts the largest and richest privately owned Mexican estates north of San Francisco Bay and one of the most important in Alta California. Exact boundaries of the rancho were of great debate especially after U.S. take-over of California in 1846.

We don't see a ton of Cacti in this area, so it was really neat to look closely at these plants that line the entire walkway up the the Adobe.

Our Sweet Nephew

Kasten is now 22 months old and quite the talker we hear! Justin and I can hardly wait to go visit the Grimm family out in Sandpoint, but have to wait until he is on a hard line with KaiserAir and able to bit for his first four days off in a row! Nichole keeps us updated with pictures and we talk with him on the phone from time to time, but we really do miss him. Below are some of the latest photos of the little man!

Cold temperatures, lots of rain, and even snow!

We did not have snow here in Petaluma, but Murray has had quite a bit of snow up at the Geysers on and off in the last few weeks. Below are a few photos! Speaking of snow...Justin and I hope to get up to Tahoe before the season is over for some good old-fashioned skiing! I have not been in quite a while and feel a bit nervous, but still want to give it a whirl. Justin would love to get on a board and rip that snow apart no problem!

Justin Flying

Now that we have more space and know we will be here for the long haul, Justin is able to begin building and flying his airplanes again! He started with a quiet electric plane so he can fly it anywhere in Petaluma. When we buy a home and have even more space he will be able to get into his true passion...gas powered aircraft for both normal and combat flying. He will join the local flying club here and enjoy one of his favorite hoobies! It is a trip to watch him fly these things and I enjoy going along, taking pictures, and being outdoors. I did take a few videos on our camera, but I cannot get them to download onto blogger (I will keep working on it). Justin is definitely a hobby man and enjoys a wide range of activities! I love ya honey!
