Music in the Plaza

It's very fitting that the first picture of this post is of my parents dancing at Healdsburg's Tuesday's in the Plaza. Each summer my Mom looks forward to Tuesday evenings for one simple reason...she gets to dance! My Mom LOVES to dance and Murray loves to make her happy (aka dance with her). Each week my parents and their friends set out a huge spread on the town plaza and feast the night away with a fun atmosphere and most times, good music (I am just not a fan of the jazz). Jim...the nicest and most genuine man in town, who can be found serving yummy wine at Toad Hollow, is the organizer of it all. He sets up a table, with flowers of course, and always makes sure friends feel right at home-picnic style. From time to time Justin and I like to crash their parties-let's face it we are really only there for one thing...the food! Well, alright, the company is great and the dancing is fun...the list could go on. Below are a few fun photos I took of this last Tuesday-enjoy!

Please look at Murray's face here. Justin and I were noticing (and laughing) at how concentrated Murray gets when he is dancing-funny stuff! My Mom and Murph are too cute when they dance and it just makes her so happy.

Awww...enjoying the beautiful Sonoma County weather over a good glass of wine! PS Justin looks a little funny because his shirt is up in the back...oh well, they can't all be great pictures.
My Mom loves dancing with Justin-I will admit he's got some good moves!

Okay...this could be a long story, so I'll make it short...Murray really wanted Justin to try what he was eating so he fed it to him-it was super funny at the time.

Oh wait...is that Murray making airplane noises as he brings the food to Justin? That's right! They are such goofballs. My two favorite men having good old fashioned silly fun,
what could be better?

Icalia-Clark Wedding Part 4: Wedding Day

More fun from the Icalia-Clark wedding!
Now, I must say, these pictures are not the best. It is really hard to take pictures when everyone wants to be up close (I don't blame them...look at that adorable couple) and we didn't want to be in the way of the photographer. These next set of pics are from the reception, which took place in a dark, romantic, barrel room. I will have pictures to post that show her dress better, but I am still waiting for those!

Cutting the cake...let's just say her was a good boy...heheee! Brook and Rich cut into a small cake, and then served scrumptious cupcakes for dessert (I think there were at least 6 flavors to choose from). I believe Justin ate like 5 carrot cake cupcakes...that's a lot for the man who always make me think I am the only one with a sweet tooth in this family :)

Their first dance together as husband and wife. Rich is just so sweet the way he smiles at her.

The happy couple thanked family and friends for attending their wedding in a beautiful speech from the heart. They seemed genuinely happy that everyone had traveled to San Luis for the occasion, especially family that lives really far away.

This may seem like a weird shot, but I just loved the back of her dress and wanted to snap a shot while she was chatting with a friend.

The lighting is horrible here, but here is the fabulous wedding jewelry that Rich picked out as Brook's wedding present. He gave it to her the night before their wedding and she absolutely adores it! It worked really well with her dress...and I promise, Rich never saw the dress. I loved how Brook put a flower in her hair after taking off her veil...
I wish I would have thought of that...it made for great pictures.

Icalia-Clark Wedding Part 3: Wedding Day

The time has come...here are pictures of July 18, 2009...
the wedding day and anniversary date for the happy couple.
It was so fun, so hot (as in degrees), and absolutely beautiful!

I propped up their program, menus, and favors! Fortune cookies are always so fun...my fortune:
"Don't go to bed angry. Stay up and fight." I think the last sentence is so funny, I guess just the way it is worded makes me laugh.

Here is the beautiful bride laughing at one of the speeches.
Brook and Rich sat at their own table for two-so romantic!

Here's Brook putting on her veil before leaving for Meridian. She waited to put on her dress until we were at the location-smart! Her veil is beautiful...such great detail!

Mother of the Bride holding the prettiest dress in town! Her dress was gorgeous...a sweetheart neck, delicate lace at the top, with a great flare at the bottom. It had a small train and a sash high at the waist.

The beautiful bride getting her hair done by the wonderful Katie Donaghy. Brook has such beautiful hair, can I have some Brook? We had so much fun hanging out in a hotel suite the morning of her wedding. We all took turns getting our hair done and for the rest of the time we laughed, reminisced, and ate (we are always good at that).

Icalia-Clark Wedding Part 2: Rehearsal

The groom and one of his hysterical brothers...his brothers are so sweet and showed true
happiness for Brook and Rich the entire weekend...let's just say they were a
great cheering section.

Hannah (maid of honor) and her soon-to-be husband Travis. They are such a sweet couple and seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the entire weekend.

You always have to have a fun shot with the photographer right? This picture just cracks me up! Brook, you are a good sport...heheee.

Groom and Dad having a heart to heart...truly...we aren't really sure what was being said, but they had a few minutes together that just seemed tender and heart-warming.

Aren't they just too cute! I love the look on Brooklynn's face.
More to come soon!

Icalia-Clark Wedding Part 1: Rehearsal

Brooklynn and Rich were married at Meridian Vineyards in Paso Robles, CA. On Friday afternoon we had a blast practicing all the details for their wedding day! Brook and Rich were so adorable and truly seemed to enjoy every minute of it.
I have to give a shout out to my hubby for taking all of these wonderful pictures...thanks sweetie!

Walking up the path to begin the rehearsing...
she has such a goofy smile on her face-I just love it!

3 of the 6 bridesmaids watching the cute couple as they go through bits of the ceremony. Notice our parasols...aren't they pretty!! Brook is so creative.

Brooklynn and her Dad walking down the "aisle" or shall I say rocky path...her Dad was too cute for words and so genuinely happy for her. It melted my heart!

Ann the Minister, and Richard the Groom givin' it a go!

This is the empty barrel room where the reception took place the next day. It was a wonderful escape into the cool from the high 90 degree heat of the day!
More to come soon...

The Beautiful Bochenski Family

I visited with Jenny, Brandon, and Sylvia on a fun trip to Woodbury, MN this last week. Jenny and I got to catch up a ton while we smiled and laughed with her daughter, Miss Sylvia Rose. Jenny and I met at college in ND and have remained great friends since. We so wish that we lived closer to each other...but for now we will just have to cherish our visits together. During my visit we introduced Sylvia to her first shopping experience at the Mall of America, and even her second shopping trip to the quaint little town of Stillwater. She was such a trooper and she did a great job-she truly is a very happy baby who loves to just sit and "talk" with people. I miss Jenny and the newest member to the Bochenski family already, and can't wait until we can see each other again.

Miss Sylvia hanging out in her stroller on our day trip to Stillwater. We were having fun "talking" with each other. I just love it when she smiles-it melts your heart.

Sylvia Rose Bochenski is named after her Great Grandmother (Jenny's Grandma) and this cup was Jenny's Grandmother's...how special!

On our way to the airport we stopped by Jenny's store (Elodie) and I got to do a little shopping (I wish I had a whole other suitcase because I could have filled it with all of the cute clothing she has). Here is a picture of Mother and Daughter enjoying some laughs together. Jenny is so adorable in the way she talks with Sylvia. She makes every moment with her daughter special with big smiles, laughter, and a whole lotta love!

Me with Miss Sylvia Rose...it is sad and yet really neat to think of how big she will be the next time I see her. Look at her-all smiles!

This is by far her favorite thing to do...just lay on the floor and "talk" with people. She makes adorable faces and gets so excited when she has one on one time with others. I will miss that adorable smile and look forward to the next time I can see the Bochenski family.
Jenny you are an amazing Mom and Sylvia Rose
is so blessed to have your unconditional love
and unbelievable gentle touch!
Thanks for your generosity and a wonderful trip!

Visting Jenny and the Family

I am off to Woodbury, MN (near Minneapolis) to visit the Bochenski family and their newest member, Sylvia Rose! I hope to take lots of pictures of little Miss Sylvia as well as the whole family. I want to soak up every moment while I am there because we don't get to see each other that often. Below is a picture of Jenny and I together in Boston-that was such a fun time!

Stay tuned for new pictures...
